Miriam Margolyes is witty and warm, funny and fabulous, charming and charismatic. Her award-winning performances on stage and screen are legendary, and her speaking at events receives excellent reviews.
Miriam is in as much demand as ever. Her voice work is internationally acclaimed and she is regarded as the most accomplished female voice in Britain. Miriam has recorded many audio books including Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, The Worst Witch series, The Queen and I (in which she played every member of the Royal Family), The Sea, Troy and Wise Child. Miriam really enjoys speaking for DBA clients, and is an international star without the “diva” budget.
She won the BAFTA Best Supporting Actress award in 1993 for The Age of Innocence, Best Supporting Actress at the 1989 LA Critics Circle Awards for her role in Little Dorrit and a Sony Radio Award for Best Actress on Radio in 1993 for her unabridged recording of Oliver Twist. She was the voice of the Matchmaker in Mulan and the voice of Fly, the mother dog, in Babe.
In 2002, The Queen awarded Miriam the Order of the British Empire for services to drama.
